I had a small sirloin steak and a ton of peppers sliced in the freezer. I needed to use some peppers because the bag wouldn't fit on the freezer door anymore. I haven't had Pepper Steak since I lived at home. My Dad made it delicious. This is just a simple easy recipe. Don't put salt in this recipe because the Soy provides lots of salt.
GROCERIES:
1 Tbs Minced Ginger
2 Tbs Minced Garlic
1 1/2 Tbs Cornstarch
1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
1 Tbs Sugar
1 Small Sirloin, thinly sliced
Vegetable Oil
RECIPE:
Gather your ingredients.
Heat a little oil in a skillet. Add and saute peppers until soft. Remove peppers and put aside.
Mix the Soy Sauce, Sugar and Cornstarch in a cup and stir until blended and set aside.
Add another splash of Vegetable Oil to the same skillet and saute the ginger and garlic for a couple of minutes or until soft. Add the sliced meat to the skillet and toss around until just brown.
Return Peppers to the skillet and pour in the Soy Sauce mix. Stir the mixture until the sauce thickens.
Serve on rice.
